Internships

Thank you for your interest in applying for an internship with the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry.

These opportunities for Washington, D.C. internships occur in fall, spring or summer semesters for college students. The hours are flexible to accommodate class schedules, but generally run 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. when the Senate is in session, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. when not in session.

Responsibilities of interns will vary. They may be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for the legislative staff and attend hearings and briefings giving interns opportunity learn about the legislative process and the many functions of a Senate committee.
