Committee vote and business meeting is canceled.
Ranking Democratic Senator Harkin requested that Chairman Chambliss have the Ag Committee forgo a planned Tuesday Committee vote, and thus make the nomination available directly to the Senate for confirmation.
The nomination is for Mr. Thomas Dorr to be Under Secretary of Agriculture for Rural Development and to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Commodity Credit Corporation.
Mr. Dorr testified before the Committee
on April 27, 2005.
