WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, issued the following statement regarding The Washington Post’s story on former U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Sonny Perdue’s financial disclosures.
“The findings from The Washington Post article are deeply concerning. I’ve already called on the Office of Government Ethics to review this situation, and believe that they should expedite their efforts and coordinate with the Department of Justice, the Department of Agriculture, the Inspector General for the Department of Agriculture and other relevant federal agencies to get to the bottom of this,” said Chairwoman Stabenow
