Chairwoman Stabenow Welcomes Announcement of Rural Partners Network

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, welcomed the announcement Wednesday of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Partners Network, a new initiative to help rural communities access government resources and funding to create jobs, build infrastructure, and support long-term economic stability.

“This program helps connect rural communities with additional federal resources that can improve rural quality of life and make sure Americans have the tools they need to be successful no matter where they live,” said Chairwoman Stabenow. “This is an effort long in the making. I partnered with Sen. Cortez Masto to make sure her provision was included in the 2018 Farm Bill so that small towns and rural places have more capacity to access federal programs. I look forward to continuing to work with Sen. Cortez Masto and our other partners in the Senate and Administration to build on these goals in the next Farm Bill.”
