WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, today released the following statement and summary on President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better Framework.
“The Build Back Better Act grows jobs in rural communities and invests in solutions to the climate crisis to help strengthen our future,” said Senator Stabenow, Chairwoman of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee. “Build Bact Better scales up climate-smart agriculture programs that farmers, foresters, and rural businesses use to protect resources and be more energy efficient. It invests in rural prosperity and helps rural communities transition to cleaner energy. And it takes meaningful steps to lower costs for families and helps make sure children get healthy meals during the school year and through the summer. I appreciate the partnership with Chairmen David Scott and Bobby Scott in the House on getting this bill to where we are today.”
