WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, & Forestry, today issued the following statement regarding the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) announcement.
“The RFS is an important driver of Michigan jobs and our bio-based economy. If America wants to be a leader in renewable fuel production, the EPA must make stronger commitments across the board. Today’s announcement falls short of that goal.”
