Chairwoman Stabenow Announces Oversight Hearing Focusing on Accountability in Farm Bill Programs

Washington, DC – Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow, Chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, announced the Committee will hold a hearing on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in room G50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. The oversight hearing will focus on accountability in the Farm Bill, and the importance of measuring performance while eliminating duplication and waste.

The hearing, "Farm Bill Accountability:  The Importance of Measuring Performance, While Eliminating Duplication and Waste,” will take place on Thursday, June 23 at 9:30 a.m. EST in SD-G50. A live, streaming webcast of the hearing will be available for viewing on the Committee website at http://ag.senate.gov.
