WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), ranking member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, announced Eric Slee has joined as senior professional staff on the Republican side of the committee.
Slee, who has worked in both U.S. House of Representatives and Senate offices, will handle a portfolio that includes rural development, credit, energy and transportation.
“I often talk about the farm bill in terms of safety net for both our farmers and rural America. Eric’s portfolio holds the keys for rural America’s future. His expertise and experience will be crucial as we work to ensure the next farm bill sparks a renewal of the rural communities where our food, fiber and fuel are produced,” Boozman said.
Prior to joining the committee staff, Slee was the vice president of government affairs at WISP—Broadband Without Boundaries. He spent over five years in the office of then-Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS), beginning as a legislative assistant before serving as Robert’s last legislative director. Prior to joining Roberts staff, Slee was a senior account executive for the DCI Group. He began his career in Washington, DC as a legislative correspondent on the staff of U.S. Representative Mark Green (R-WI).
Slee is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
