WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), ranking member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, announced Caleb Crosswhite has joined the minority side of the committee as chief counsel.
Crosswhite joins the committee after serving as deputy chief counsel for Chairman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture for over two and half years. He has extensive experience in agricultural law and policy, having served as professional staff and counsel in the House and as an advisor and counsel in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Marketing and Regulatory Programs mission area. Prior to his role at USDA, Crosswhite served on the House Agriculture Committee from 2011-2019.
Crosswhite earned his bachelor of science in animal science at Texas Tech University and his juris doctor at George Mason University School of Law.
“Caleb’s extensive background in agriculture policy and his innate knowledge of the current negotiations will greatly help our efforts to draft a bipartisan Farm Bill in the Senate. He served as a trusted counsel for Chairman Thompson, and I am confident that he will serve our team in a similar capacity. I look forward to working with him as we enter this pivotal period in the Farm Bill process,” Boozman said.
